I went to Italy a year ago, only tried pizza from just two places, but I was a bit disappointed. One place was okay, but kinda actually reminded me of pizza hut thin crust pizza 😬 the other place the crust was paper thin with an alarmingly amount of cheese and I did not like it at all.
Here, I ordered the simple cheese and tomato sauce pizza and it looked and tasted like what I always imagined Italian pizza would taste like. It was so well balanced between the crust, the sauce, and the cheese. I'm so glad I decided to finally try this place after living around the corner for 4 years. Wish I had tried it sooner though!
We ordered a Hawaiian pizza from here and it was great. We will definitely be back.
I've been eating here for about 40 years. The food is excellent. Tastes homemade every time. Staff is nice and service is always prompt.
I’ve driven by dozens of times- foolishly. Finally picked up take out and it is exactly the homestyle Italian I wanted. The bread has just the right amount of sesame and chewiness. The spinach lasagna is full of flavor.

Once again I made the 90 minute drive just for a small Pietro's 'special' hoagie! Pietro's is the absolute best since I was a kid in the 80's. Several members of my family will very often take this long getaway drive because nobody does it better.
Got a couple of sandwiches and some fettuccine Alfredo. The Alfredo and the sandwiches were pretty good. Food was prepared in an easy to eat manner. Bite sized pieces of chicken and sausages

This is an excellent place. All the ingredients are freshly cut and made to order. I peeked into the kitchen and noticed the chef hand slicing all the vegetables for the pizzas they were baking.
And what a pizza it is. The large 16" pizza is a must order. Generous toppings all over. It has a thin crust but is soft and tasty where cheese and toppings are placed. I usually order the Pietro Special.
But it doesn't stop there. No pizza is complete without the buffalo wings. I don't know the size of the chicken but judging from the buffalo wings it must be a giant. Also it is just the right level of spice and not greasy! How does Pietro do that!
Now without a salad, I would feel guilty eating the pizza and wings so I also order the large Caesar salad. Fresh cut salad. Wonderful to crunch into with the wings and pizza!
Now that is a meal for a Friday night. Epic!
Amazing as always, unchanged menu in decades. It's nice to go to the same spot I grew up with 25+ years later. I live in OC but Everytime I'm in the Dena Pietro's is a must
I just had a really satisfying hot pastrami sandwich aka Pastrami Alla Pietros on my first visit to Pietro's Italian Restaurant. The sandwich is made on a really excellent quality sesame seed hoagie roll with mustard, pickles and melted cheese on tender juicy pastrami. The large sandwich is nearly a foot long. I had intended to eat half and save the rest for later but it was so tasty that I ended up eating the whole thing.
I'm on a mission to try all the pastrami sandwiches in town and so far this one gets a good ranking. This sandwich wins for best bread. It's bigger than the one from Tops (on Walnut and Allen) for just about the same price. Tops does get the edge for the smokiness and spice of the pastrami.
At Pietro's they serve all kinds of sandwiches, pizza, pasta and salad.
I will be going back to try more menu items. I'll update this review at that point.
In the meantime, if you are in the neighborhood and craving a hot pastrami sandwich I recommend that you give this one a try.
I've been coming here for over 30 years and this little neighborhood gem consistently puts out tasty and quality Italian food! Their pizza, pasta and numerous hot and cold subs are especially good, particularly their Italian Hoagie, and hot meatballs and cheese!
They've also got a large selection of sodas and beer.
It's changed hands several times over the years, but the current owner, George, is personable, friendly, and makes sure the customers are happy! He's got a great crew, too, starting with Ava!
Highly recommended!
Cold cuts and pizzas always on point.
Solid pizza spot, always available on the Slice App, fast and consistent. We love the staff - super friendly and the pizza is on point every time.
Our local pizza spot for sure
Pietro's is an Italian Restaurant that serves pizza, salad, pasta, and sandwiches.

My 4 stars review is specifically for their famous Hoagie cold sandwich! It has salami, mortadella, salami cotto, lettuce, mayonnaise, tomato, pepperoncini, and provolone cheese. I recently tried the hot Pastrami Alla Pietros which is served in a loaf of toasted bread with pastrami, mustard, and pickles. The bread and all the ingredients are always fresh. I'm not a "sandwich girl" so I'm surprised that I like it so much!! Based on the quality, portion, and price; I'm a fan!

Delicious hot pastrami sandwich. Bread was crusty and light.
Pizza is soo Delicious 😋! We had pepperoni & sausage. Affordable and the best in town!
Best Antipasto and Garlic cheesy bread.
Great fresh REAL Italian cuisine as usual staff and food was wonderful
Fresh produce and great coffee.
Menu didn’t make mention that the pizza is thin crust only. Deal breaker? No, but would have liked to have known. Garlic bread was just toasted Long sesame seed buns, nothing special. Pizza was good nothing spectacular but I’d say give it a try
The crew here is so friendly. They definitely put the time in carefully preparing any dish off the menu from scratch.
The wife and son love it! They have been very good to us. Treat us like family.
The best deli in LA, no frills, great prices and amazing food....I drive from oc just for a sandwich
Had a awesome experience in this place with my girlfriend. The food was served rapidly and the customer service is just excellent. Prices are fair.
Love this place! Great place to find homestyle pizza. Good portions for what you pay and always really Hot when getting your pizza. Time management is good with them for pick up.
Thin, crusty flavorful pizza made fresh; awesome antipasto salads, sandwiches and pastas plus desserts. Small business that pack-a-punch to your senses!😊👍
The employees are extremely nice. If you pay in cash. There is a slight discount
Them there's some good pizza, Jethro."
Our waiter was the most personable guy I might have ever been served by, and the pizza was delicious. Can't get much better than that!
Real friendly place. Food was great. If you're in the area and hungry for italian check this place out.
We love this place we go at least once a week its that good
Honestly I've been coming here my whole life and I love it so much everyone is so sweet they are really great people. Try it out!
Fantastic food and service. I'm so happy I found this place. Easy to order ahead online and quick pickup. The staff is very friendly and attentive.
Yeaa Pietro's love the subs here with a nice cold bottle of Stella Artois . Oh yeaa. Pizza is super bmb here .
This spot is the one I like best. I go to a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The crew is very amicable and the food they serve is so fresh and tasty. I am always happy to have a decent dinner in this place. Highly recommended.
I tried the Hoagie Cold Sub which has salami, mortadella and Cotto salami. It was pretty good. There is some confusion about my order. I asked for Pietros Hoagie which I thought was a hot sub with mozzarella cheese. Not sure if I ordered wrong or they gave me the wrong thing. In any case, my food was pretty good.

Awesome place . Cheerful and feels homey. Employees very respectful and friendly . Wonderful service . Plus their pizza is the best . Definitely coming back here soon and bring my family again .
Always good, just plain simple restuarant.
We enjoy going for lunch
Service with a smile
Best foot long submarine sandwich beats New York & Philadelphia.
Good good and good service
This place is still around! Yummy hoagies and the decor hasn't changed in years. Parking is a bit tight as there's the laundromat in the same property but we always seem to find a spot.
Pietro's has been in Pasadena forever. Same great taste, same great food. Don't ever change. You definitely won't be disappointed. 5 stars for sure both in taste and customer service.
I have been coming to Pietros for years. There is always good food and friendly smiles from the employees.
This place.... wow. Ill only speak to the meatball sub as it's the only thing I've ever ordered. 10 times now. Everything they make is from scratch and you can taste difference. Prices are right, great people behind the counter, and you can order ahead online. Highly recommend.
I can eat here everyday, the best of the best of the best! Thanks Chef George!
Awesome sandwiches, antipasta salad and garlic pizza.
Out of this world sub sandwiches. Nothing more. Nothing less.
